The public education system in Nigeria is faced with problems of incessant strike actions, dilapidating. 1. Babcock University

There is no doubt about that, the most expensive university in Nigeria 2017 is Babcock University  securing the first spot on this list . It’s a private Christian co-educational university owned and controlled by Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Nigeria. Babcock University was brought to live in the year 1957 as the Adventist College of West Africa (ACWA). Their tuition fee ranges from ₦620,000 to ₦3 million, depending on the demand of the ward of the students. What determine their school fee is department . Take for instance, Medicine: ₦3 million, Law: ₦2 million, Accounting: ₦1.5 million, Nursing: ₦1 million, other faculties: ₦860,000 – ₦620,000 and so on and so forth. They offer three daily meal services to students ,  three to seven students are given one room in their hostel accommodation . They have regular (7 persons in a room), premium (4 persons in a room) or classic (3 or 2 persons in a room) it depends on what you want.

2. American University of Nigeria

The second most expensive university in Nigeria is American University of Nigeria . History has it that American University of Nigeria is the first Nigerian university with American structure and curriculum. This institution is located in the north Eastern Nigeria, Yola. If you are admitted into this school then you are obligated to pay ₦2,956,000, as their tuition fee. This is one of the best place your children can get the best education in the country. Parents pay for their children’s tuition fee in dollar, the break down everything is — tuition: $6,600, meals: $1,900, four in a room: $500, private room: $1,900 . Everything amounts to   $10,900 (₦2,956,000) per annum.

3. Afe Babalola University

Afe Babalola University is a school intentionally  founded for engineers and it started it academic session in the year 2009 and has emerged the best private higher institution in Ado Ekiti State. Their tuition fee is expensive and it covers many payments like development levy, ICT, ID card, Medical Sports, PTCF Levy, course registration, Caution fee, and also the accommodation.

4. Igbinedion University, Okada

Igbinedion University Okada is undoubtedly one of the most expensive universities in Nigeria and it is located in  south south region of Nigeria Edo state. It came into existence in May 16, 1999 after it got the certification approval . It is the most expensive university in Edo state and it is mostly attended by those folks who are from wealthy background. Their tuition fee is a bit high and can only be afforded by the rich people. Igbinedion University Okada tuition fee  ranges from ₦540,000 to ₦820,000 depending on the department but without feeding. For departments like Medicine, Pharmacy, Law and Engineering, they pay a tuition of ₦610,000, while accomodation is : ₦100,000 and other expenses to be incurred is ₦110,000.

5. Bowen University

On the fifth spot is another respected/reputable  Nigerian university known as Bowen University, established in November 4, 2002. The school is owned and managed by the Nigerian Baptist Convention, at Iwo in Osun State. Bowen University tuition fee ranges from  ₦500,000 to ₦750,000 per annum. They are responsible for providing you with  accommodation but students are made to buy food from cafeteria.

6. Crawford University

Crawford University was established in the year 2005 and it is a  Christian Private University targeting Christians in Nigeria. All they do is gives the shelter to the students but don’t give meal. The charge a tuition fee of  N40, 000 to N60, 000.

7. Redeemer’s University

Just like Crawford University, Redeemer’s University is an institution built for Christians  in Nigeria. Redeemer’s University was opened in the year 2005 and it is located in Redemption City. Their tuition fee is between N50000 to N605000. It has been rated as one of the most expensive in Nigeria and majority of students studying here are foreign students.

8. Lead City University

The school was established on 16th of February, 2005 and it has become one of the best in Nigeria as they have recorded tremendous growth over the years. This is the best place for your children if you need the best education for them . Food and accommodation are on the school you don’t have to purchase it desperately.

9. Caleb University

On the ninth position is Caleb University as one of the most expensive in Nigeria 2017. The university is in charge of providing accommodation to the students but they don’t give meal to students. Caleb University tuition fee  is N505, 000. This varsity is established for the rich and wealthy people.

10. Ajayi Crowder University

On the last spot obviously the 10th position is Ajayi Crowder University. Their  education system stand out as the best in Nigeria and It is a well known university in Nigeria. The Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo was founded by the Supra Diocesan Board (West) of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). It is located on the Ibadan-Oyo-Ilorin road in Atiba Local Government Area (LGA) of Oyo State. It charge a school fee of  ₦500,000 meal and accommodation  is included in this fee.
